10:45 – 11:15am

We’ll begin by settling into the space, connecting, and exploring the sets. This is where the journey starts.

Sign-up sheets will be available at each set. You’ll choose two sets to shoot, with availability offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Doors Open & Check-In


11:15am - 11:30pm

Pearl & Gracie will introduce themselves, share their portfolios, and outline the intentions and expectations for the day.

Doors will close promptly at 11:20 to honor the time and focus of both instructors and fellow attendees. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Welcome & Introduction


11:30am-12:00pm

Early arrival is encouraged, as we’ll begin promptly to stay on schedule and maximize shooting time for everyone. We’ll kick off the masterclass with a brief welcome and workflow walkthrough, and you will be introduced to three styled set designs created for the open shooting portion. Starting at 11:00, photographers can sign up at each set’s station—sign-up sheets will be available at every set at a first-come-first-first basis to ensure smooth rotations and equal shooting time. We will then have a live demo covering lighting, posing, concepts, and workflow for the day.

Here's your opportunity to get hands-on experience with professional lighting, provided models, and styled sets as well as personalized support from Pearl & Gracie during open-shooting time.

Structured Shooting with One-On-One Support


1:30pm - 2:30pm

Editing Workshop & Lunch

Learn how to efficiently cull, edit, and refine your images to align with a professional studio look. Pearl & Gracie will walk through real edits from the structured shoot, sharing workflow tips, stylistic decisions, and best practices you can immediately apply to your own work. Lunch will be provided.


2:30pm - 3:30pm

A lost art, a critique is an integral part of a photographer's creative journey. We seek to provide a supportive environment for a group critique focused on growth, intention, and visual storytelling. Select images will be critiqued to discuss composition, lighting choices, posing, and creative direction in order to help you develop a stronger eye and greater confidence in your work.

2:30pm - 3:30pm

We’ll close out the masterclass with final takeaways, practical next steps, and an open Q&A. This is your opportunity to ask lingering questions, gain clarity on your creative or business goals, and leave with a more confident, creative, professional level of knowledge.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This masterclass is open to photographers at any level who are interested in studio photography, creative direction, and refining their workflow. Whether you’re building a portfolio or expanding your studio experience, all are welcome.

  • Bring your camera body and lens(es) you’re comfortable shooting with. Bring a laptop/tablet with editing software for the editing session, as well as a notebook and pen. Come with questions, an open mind, and a positive attitude. Studio lighting, sets, and professional models will be provided.

  • Come ready to learn, observe, and participate. Reviewing basic camera settings (manual mode, ISO, shutter speed, aperture) ahead of time is helpful. Bring an open mindset and questions prepared—this masterclass emphasizes intentional shooting, experimentation, and collaboration.

  • Yes. This experience is designed for both beginner photographers and seasoned photographers seeking structured guidance and supportive environment, allowing attendees at different skill levels to learn and grow together. Coming with basic knowledge of manual camera settings is most recommended.

  • Yes. Professional models will be provided for the guided shooting portion of the masterclass.
