Pearl Nemecek and Gracie Allen are Milwaukee-based photographers and creative directors specializing in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and branding.
Pearl & Gracie Makers Space is hosting an immersive Studio Photography Masterclass at Northern Lights Photo Studio in downtown Milwaukee. This hands-on event guides photographers through a full photoshoot—from concept to final edit—with live demonstrations, guided shooting, set design, and collaborative critique. Attendees are creative professionals and enthusiasts seeking to elevate their studio skills.
Pearl Nemecek
Pearl Nemecek is a Milwaukee-based photographer and creative director specializing in fashion/beauty, portrait/lifestyle and branding projects. Born in the Philippines, Pearl discovered her love for the arts while experiencing culture shock from immigrating at a young age. Art became her earliest form of communication and self-expression during a time when language barriers made connection difficult.
With a BFA in Design & Visual Communications from UW-Milwaukee and a background in graphic design, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work. As the founder of The Pearl Photography LLC, Pearl manages photo shoots from concept to completion, ensuring each shoot reflects the client's vision while infusing her signature style. Her portfolio includes collaborations with model agencies, local fashion designers, and featured in various publications such as Milwaukee Magazine and on FOX 6 News. Through her work, she aims to reflect the evolving world around her—one that is complex, multifaceted, and beautifully human.
Gracie Allen
Gracie is a Milwaukee-based brand photographer and creative director with over 15 years of experience behind the camera and a deep belief that strong images come from trust, intention, and a willingness to experiment.
Gracie works with artists, brands, and individuals who care about storytelling, aesthetics, and imagery that lasts beyond trends. She brings a confident presence to every shoot, supported by years of technical experience and an intuitive understanding of light, composition, and direction.
Experimentation is central to her process. Many ideas are tested, some are set aside quickly, others take time to understand—but she believes that exploration is where the strongest images emerge. Not everything has to be perfect to be meaningful. As an artist, Gracie values curiosity over perfection and collaboration over control. Her work is rooted in intention, shaped by experience, and driven by the belief that the best images are built, not rushed.
